A Gas Engineer Based in Telford

Enflame Heating and Plumbing is a gas and heating engineer based in Telford, working from Wellington across the town and the villages around it. We service, repair and replace boilers, including LPG boilers for homes off the gas grid, and every gas job is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

We're a Baxi Approved Installer and an Ideal installer, with Worcester Bosch training, so a new boiler from those makers can be fitted and registered for the manufacturer's warranty. Reviews from customers on our website average five stars.

Why This Area

Why We Work in Telford

Telford's mix of post-war estates, modern developments around Priorslee and Lawley Village, and older terraces near Wellington creates varied heating challenges. Being based in Wellington, we're never far away, and we get to know the systems in the homes we look after year after year.

One Lawley family has had us service their boiler and cylinder for two years, and called us back when they moved to Priorslee:

"Enflame has been doing boiler/cylinder service for our family for 2 years in Lawley, and have recently returned to our new home in Priorslee. They are very professional, reliable and responsive. I have not had to ask for any emergency help or repair fortunately, but I know Enflame will be able to help :)" Taka, Google review

Property Types

Properties in Telford

Telford has the full range of homes: semi-detached and terraced family houses, ex-council homes on the post-war estates, new-build estates in Priorslee and Lawley Village, town-centre flats and, nearer Ironbridge, older converted cottages.

On the new-build estates, boilers are usually still under warranty, and a yearly boiler service is what keeps that warranty valid. In the post-war estates and the older terraces around Wellington, boilers are often reaching the end of their life, and we'll tell you plainly whether a repair is worth it or a boiler replacement makes more sense. Where the boiler sits in a loft or a tight cupboard, we check the access and flue route before quoting for a new boiler installation.

Homes off the gas grid in the rural edges of the borough often run on LPG. We fit and repair LPG boilers too, see our LPG boiler installations and LPG boiler repair pages.

Common Challenges

Common Problems in Telford

Common call-outs in Telford include combi boiler breakdowns after missed servicing, cold radiators caused by sludge and imbalanced systems, frozen condensate traps in winter, and limescale build-up in older systems. We also find poor previous installs, such as incorrect flue runs, inadequate venting or boilers too small for a new extension, and put them right with compliant boiler repairs and full system flushes where needed.

When a couple moved to Hadley and found their heating needed updating, we started by making their radiators safe:

"We recently moved to Hadley & soon realised our heating system required updating & a couple of our radiators needed making safe. After doing some research & checking out reviews of various engineers on the Telford area we gave Enflame Heating & Plumbing a call. We are so glad we did, we soon realised what a professional company Enflame are, appointment confirmed, Shane, the engineer was punctual & gave us advice on the best way forward. He made our radiators safe & demonstrated respect throughout our appointment. Follow up appointments have been secured & we both feel confident our new heating system will help make our transition to Hadley a comfortable one. We highly recommend Enflame Heating & Plumbing, thanks gents." Kev, Google review
